Results and conclusions from the Buckwheat Nutrient Uptake Study are being presented in a poster to the 2022 Manitoba Agronomists Conference.
AAFC researchers in PEI have discovered a rare chemical in buckwheat – acyl sucrose – that suppresses wireworms by causing hormonal imbalances.

Lorne and his wife, Rose Marie (Midge) passed away in December 2020. Lorne was an inaugural director of MB Buckwheat Growers Association. The Buckwheat and Oat industry came together to commemorate their lives with a bench overlooking the Valley in Morden, MB.
